In September 2019, Shuchen Zhou, then deputy director of R & D
center, and Liu Jun, technical manager, attended the MT18 / mt19 / mt24 / WG5
working group meeting organized by IEC TC36 in Vichy, France. This meeting
represents a new step taken by SHEMAR.
In September 2020, the "Research on sealing failure mechanism and treatment measures of UHVDC valve internal cooling system" completed in two years won the first prize of science and technology progress award of China Southern Power Grid Corporation. As the project leader, manager Yan Zheng of rubber products division won the first prize.
In November 2020, Chao Liu, deputy chief engineer of R & D center at that time, delivered a speech on new materials to make smart grid safer, more economical and more environmentally friendly at the Boao Smart Grid Forum in Hainan. The composite external insulation free operation and maintenance, compact grid solution on display was highly recognized by the experts and leaders attending the forum and became the executive director unit of Boao smart grid Association.
